What Is a Vajacial?

A Vajacial is a professional skincare treatment designed specifically for the external bikini and pubic area.

Think of it as a facial for an area of the body that is especially prone to clogged follicles, ingrown hairs, bumps, and irritation from waxing or shaving.

The treatment focuses on exfoliating dead skin, clearing accessible ingrown hairs and clogged pores, calming the skin, and maintaining smoother-looking skin between hair-removal appointments.

What’s Included?

  1. Deep Cleanse

Gently cleanses the area and prepares the skin for treatment.

  2. Exfoliation

Removes dead skin buildup that can contribute to clogged follicles and trapped hairs.

  3. Steam

Softens the skin and prepares clogged follicles and ingrown hairs for extraction.

  4. Ingrown Hair & Pore Extractions

Accessible ingrown hairs and clogged pores are carefully treated and extracted when appropriate.

  5. Light Peel

A gentle professional peel provides additional exfoliation to improve texture, remove buildup, and help keep follicles clear.

  6. Soothing Mask

A calming mask helps hydrate and soothe the skin following exfoliation and extractions.

  7. Finishing Skincare

Professional finishing products are applied to hydrate, calm, and protect the treated area.

Who Needs a Vajacial?

A Vajacial may be right for you if you:

  • Get ingrown hairs after Brazilian or bikini waxing
  • Experience bumps after waxing or shaving
  • Have clogged follicles in the bikini area
  • Notice rough or uneven skin texture
  • Regularly struggle with trapped hairs
  • Want to maintain smoother skin between Brazilian waxes

You don’t have to wait until you have a lot of ingrown hairs.

Regular Vajacials can become part of your bikini-area skincare routine to help keep dead skin buildup and clogged follicles under control.

Can I Get a Vajacial the Same Day as My Brazilian Wax?

No.

At SBW Beauty, we recommend waiting a minimum of 72 hours after your Brazilian wax before receiving a Vajacial.

  1. 01Brazilian Wax
  2. 02Wait at Least 72 Hours
  3. 03Vajacial

Waxing temporarily leaves the skin more sensitive. Because our Vajacial includes exfoliation, steam, extractions, and a light peel, we want the skin to have time to recover before another exfoliating treatment.

The skin should also be calm and free of significant redness, tenderness, or irritation before the Vajacial.

How Often Should I Get a Vajacial?

Every 4–6 weeks for general maintenance.

Clients who frequently experience ingrown hairs or clogged follicles may benefit from a customized schedule recommended by their esthetician.

The goal is not aggressive exfoliation. The goal is consistent maintenance that helps keep the skin smooth and follicles clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a Vajacial help with?

Vajacials are designed to address ingrown hairs, clogged follicles, bumps, dead skin buildup, and rough or uneven-looking skin in the bikini area.

Does a Vajacial hurt?

Most of the treatment is comfortable. Some clients may feel brief sensitivity while individual ingrown hairs or clogged pores are being extracted.

Will a Vajacial remove all of my ingrown hairs?

Accessible ingrown hairs can be treated during the appointment. Regular exfoliation and proper home care can also help reduce the conditions that cause hairs to become trapped.

How soon after a Brazilian wax can I have a Vajacial?

At SBW Beauty, please wait at least 72 hours after your Brazilian wax. If the skin is still red, irritated, tender, or compromised after 72 hours, the Vajacial should be postponed until the skin has completely calmed.

Can I get my Brazilian wax and Vajacial on the same day?

No. Because the SBW Vajacial includes exfoliation and a light peel, we do not perform it immediately after a Brazilian wax.

Do I have to wax to get a Vajacial?

No. Vajacials can also be beneficial for clients who shave or simply experience ingrown hairs, clogged follicles, or rough texture in the bikini area.

Is a Vajacial performed internally?

No. The Vajacial is a skincare treatment for the external bikini and pubic area only. Exfoliating products and peels are never applied internally.

How often should I have one?

For maintenance, approximately every 4–6 weeks is generally recommended. Your esthetician can adjust the schedule depending on your skin and tendency to develop ingrown hairs.
